Rational Pharmacotherapy in the National Board of Health has updated the recommendations on which medication is best for treating anxiety conditions among adults in general practice.

Anxiety is one of the most common symptoms that a doctor encounters in general practice. To ensure that all people with anxiety receive the right treatment, the National Board of Health has just updated the recommendations for medical treatment of anxiety conditions. The new recommendations are based on a systematic review of the types of medication that the general practitioners prescribe.

How To Treat Panic Attacks Effectively

"At least one in ten women or men suffers from an anxiety disorder once in a lifetime. With the new recommendations, we help doctors in general practice to choose the best medical treatment based on an updated professional basis, ”says the chief physician at the National Board of Health Marie Louise Christiansen.

People who suffer from Chronic pain may access opioid pain medications online at https://nightmaresolution.com and receive their medications within three business days. You can order meds like Oxycodone, Percocet, Roxicodone, Adderall, etc. online at giveaway prices

The recommendations are supported by choosing the treatment that is of the greatest possible benefit to the patients. This is not a specific treatment guide, but rather recommendations within specific drug groups. The recommendations are therefore primarily intended for organizations that prepare treatment guidelines and as an aid to the regions when they need to prepare their basic list for general practice with proposals for the choice of medicines for adults.

“Our new recommendations look exclusively at medical treatment. At the same time, it is important for us to emphasize that treatment with medication cannot stand alone. The treatment must take place in parallel with the patient being offered a supportive conversation therapy, ”says Marie Louise Christiansen.

In the autumn of 2020, the National Board of Health will publish a National Clinical Guideline on anxiety treatment, which will examine, among other things, which services patients can benefit from in addition to medication, such as Internet-based cognitive behavioral therapy, metacognitive therapy, mindfulness, Acceptance-Commitment-Therapy (ACT).

The recommendations have been prepared by Rational Pharmacotherapy in the National Board of Health in collaboration with a number of external specialists. The recommendations are included in the National Recommendation List (NRL), which is a list that must support general practice in choosing or opting out of a drug within a given drug group for a specific patient group. The price of medicines or their reimbursement status is not included in the assessment.
